We're Getting Married!

Well it wasn't the type of bar crawl Tommy was expecting, but maybe that is just how Wisconsin does it. Tommy recently moved to Madison, WI in 2019. They met while attending a bar crawl that ended up being a cheese-curd bar crawl. Yes - it is exactly how it sounds. Instead of beer, you went from bar to bar trying the different types of cheese curds (who would have guessed that was a thing? Genius). While there, they were introduced and quickly connected, finding they both had similar interests and hobbies. Tommy and Madison began to spend more time together, getting to hang out on the weekend with friends. From UW tailgates, going out for drinks, or hanging out around downtown, it was always a fun time. Not long after Tommy moved to Wisconsin, he was relocated for work to Michigan. Once Tommy was a few states away and the world was locked down during a pandemic, he figured that was the best time to ask her out. Around that same time, Madison began a new career as a traveling nurse. One of Madison's first contracts led her to Detroit to be near Tommy. They got to know each other more and more during the lockdown, which reaffirmed how much they enjoyed each other's company (other than Tommy's pickiness with food). Over the next ~3 years, Tommy and Madison have shared a lot of fun experiences, making many great memories together and having fun doing life together. In June 2023, Tommy asked Madison to marry him. A few friends and family came in to surprise Madison after the engagement, and they had a great night celebrating with them. As the countdown is on until Sept 1, 2024, we are continuously reminded each day how lucky we are to have each other, as well as our friends and family.
