Diamond Head Hike
A popular, moderately easy hike with great views of Honolulu and the ocean. Go early for cooler weather and fewer crowds; bring water and good shoes.
Iolani Palace
Explore the only royal palace in the United States. Guided and self-guided tours are available; check the website for hours and ticket info.
Waikīkī Beach
The most famous beach in Hawaii. Good for swimming, surfing, or just relaxing. Surf lessons and board rentals are available.
Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve
Excellent spot for snorkeling with tropical fish and turtles. Reservations are required and the preserve is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
Pearl Harbor National Memorial
Visit the historic site and memorial. Entry is free, but tickets for the USS Arizona Memorial boat tour are limited-reserve in advance.
Bishop Museum
Hawaii’s largest museum, with exhibits on local history, science, and culture. Great for families and anyone interested in learning more about the islands.
Kualoa Ranch
A working ranch offering tours of movie sites, ziplining, ATV rides, and other activities. Advance reservations recommended.
KCC Farmers’ Market
Saturday morning market with local produce, prepared foods, and Hawaiian specialties. Located near Diamond Head.
