It all started with a dance...well, I wish it was that simple. At our mutual friend Kayla's wedding, a two-stepping country song came on and this guy who was seated at my table wanted to dance. His date was telling him no, so he ended up looking my way. We took to the dance floor, shared a two-step and went our separate ways. Spring ended, summer passed, and as fall came upon us my family was dealing with the unfortunate reality of my grandpa's rapidly declining health. In such a dark time, it was a welcome surprise to find a message from the boy who had asked me to dance sitting in my Instagram DMs. Yes...he slid into my DMs. My grandfather passed away in early October and Robert and I's conversations became more frequent. I immediately turned to Kayla to ask about this boy who she's known since junior high. We recognized how different Robert and I were, but figured it was worth a shot. On November 12th, 2018 we had our first date where we got dinner and played glow in the dark mini-golf, and well the rest is history. I believe God has a plan for each of our lives, and don't believe the timing of my grandfather's passing and Robert coming into my life to be coincidental. Robert encourages me to try new things and I love experiencing life with him by my side. In the words of Luke Combs, "I guess some things last forever, after all."
