Friday Shuttle from NYC to The Ryland Inn

Since many of our guests for the Hindu Ceremony on Friday will be coming from New York City and the surrounding areas, we are providing a shuttle from Lincoln Center (exact pickup location to be confirmed closer to the event) to The Ryland Inn. The bus will depart at 8:00 AM sharp and arrive to The Ryland Inn in time for the 9:45AM ceremony. Please indicate via your RSVP if you would like to take the shuttle!

We've reserved a block of rooms for our guests at the Somerset Hills Hotel for Thursday 9/24, Friday 9/25, and Saturday 9/26 nights. Please use the link below to book your stay! Note: the link is defaulted to a booking for Friday 9/25 and Saturday 9/26, if you are staying on Thursday 9/24, you must edit the dates accordingly. Thanks! This hotel will also serve as the home base for transportation: we'll have rides to the welcome party on Friday and the reception on Saturday, departing right from the hotel parking lot.

Train

NJ Transit

If you're coming from New York City or Newark Airport, the easiest option is NJ Transit. Depending on the schedule and connections, the train ride runs roughly 1 to 1.5 hours, and you'll want to get off at one of three stations: - Basking Ridge (~10 min drive to Somerset Hills hotel) - Summit (~20 min drive to Somerset Hills hotel) - Morristown (~20 min drive to Somerset Hills hotel) From any of these stations, you can grab an Uber or Lyft for the short drive to the hotel. We'd recommend checking the live NJ Transit schedule the morning of your trip, since timing can vary — and giving yourself a little buffer so you arrive relaxed and on time.

Flight

Newark Airport

For guests coming from farther away, Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is your best bet — it's the closest major airport, only about a 35–45 minute drive from the hotel. You can grab an Uber, Lyft, or taxi straight from the airport to the hotel. If you'd rather take the train, hop on the AirTrain from your terminal to the Newark Liberty International Airport rail station, then take an NJ Transit train one stop to Newark Penn Station. From there, transfer to the Morris & Essex Line (Gladstone Branch) and ride out to Basking Ridge, Summit, or Morristown — then it's a short rideshare to the hotel. Note that this route involves a transfer or two and trains run less often on weekends, so it's worth mapping out your connection on the NJ Transit app ahead of time and giving yourself some buffer.
