We are fortunate that Eric and Shannon Nielson agreed to host this celebration of Love on their gorgeous property. Halfway is located in eastern Oregon; a picturesque place for a "destination" wedding. After several visits the Bride and Groom agreed it was their ideal wedding venue and with that, the idea was born. We recognize it will be a drive for most people, but rest assured it is worth the trip! The couple encourages guests to treat this as a mountain getaway, as we excitedly request your presence for the weekend!

They met freshman year of high school, all thanks to two girls who both had a crush on the groom. They went to different schools but Mischa had a friend (crushing), who had a friend (also crushing), who knew Maddy. Maddy's friend wanted her opinion on Mischa... was he a good guy? So in all her wisdom Maddy joined a facetime of all things to wing woman for her friend. In this moment neither of them had any idea they were about to meet their future spouses. On Mischa's end it was immediate (I guess love at first sight does exist). Unfortunately and unbeknownst to him Maddy already had a boyfriend, that he would meet a mere moment later on the same facetime. Back on Maddy's end she was busy scoping out this decent enough looking (very handsome) stranger for her dear friend. Over the course of several months Mischa's attraction only grew for Maddy, much to the dismay of their friends, who were starting to pick up that there may be something brewing. Eventually Mischa couldn't keep it to himself any longer and he decided he had to confess his feelings even if they were unrequited. Keep in mind these two still haven't met in person yet! Maddy took the confession well and told him she respected his feelings, however, she still had the pesky boyfriend that she hadn’t yet realized wasn’t a good fit. Embarrassed, and even slightly shocked at his own honesty, Mischa withdrew himself, believing he had overstepped. Until one day, a now single Maddy reached out to her old friend in an attempt to rekindle their connection. Over the course of several months they grew closer until it became very apparent how they felt about one another. After the first kiss, Maddy demanded an official title, to which Mischa responded "I thought it was Obvious" in true Mischa fashion. So, to spare you from the finer details of over 5 years filled with laughs, Love, and inevitable engagement, Mischa and Madison invite you to celebrate their marriage with all their friends and family.
