Our Story

Julia and Madison first met in June 2021 while celebrating Nick and Leslie Jarrett’s wedding in Santorini. What could have been a brief encounter on a beautiful Greek island quickly became something much more meaningful. Little did they know how much their lives had already overlapped. Crossing paths in the same mountains, having similar friends (madison’s soon to be family members), loving the same hobbies, and growing up in the same state, only to finally meet at the perfect moment. Shortly after, Julia began dental school at Texas A&M, and Madison moved back to Denver from Huntsville, Alabama. Even with miles between them, they both felt their connection was too special to let go. What followed was a four-year journey of long-distance including hours of calls, hard-earned frequent-flyer status, and still managing to squeeze in real vacations together. Every step brought them closer, and in the summer of 2025, they finally closed the distance and made a home together in Denver. When Madison decided to propose, he knew it had to be in a place that felt like “theirs.” The mountains had always been a sanctuary for the two of them. A place to escape the noise, recharge, and make some of their favorite memories. Steamboat Springs held a special place in both their hearts, as they had each grown up learning to ski there long before they ever met. So Madison chose Buffalo Pass, surrounded by golden fall aspens and sweeping views, as the place to ask Julia to spend forever with him. They can’t wait to bring all of their family and friends to this place that shaped their pasts, strengthened their present, and will forever be part of their future. A place where they’ll begin the next chapter of their lives surrounded by the people they love most.
