Head next-door and enjoy lunch or dinner at Taha Mexican Kitchen for a more upscale Mexican dining experience. Venture out and explore the plaza area for additional shopping and dining.
Visit the museum Friday or Saturday between our ceremony and reception. Open until 6 P.M. Take your photo in the front of the iconic KC shuttlecock, enjoy a game of mini golf, view the art, or an exhibition. Enjoy dining options, coffee at Thou Mayest, and shopping on site as well.
Tour the brewery or grab an iconic KC beer and a bite to eat in the Beer Hall/ Rec deck. Hunter's favorite: Space Camper Cosmic IPA or Southwest BLVD Lager. Madi's favorite: Tank 7 or Southwest BLVD Lager. Other favorites: BLVD Wheat or Pale Ale. This a great place to visit in between the ceremony and reception and can host large groups. If beer isn't your thing, try their selection of "Quirk seltzers", "Quirktails", or "Fling craft cocktails". Several non-alcoholic beer/seltzer options available as well!
Enjoy apps and a drink at XR Cafe or grab drinks upstairs at Percheron Rooftop Bar and enjoy views of the city. Great place to start or end your evening or visit in between the ceremony and reception.
Enjoy Kansas City BBQ at Joes KC, at their original gas station location. Known for their "Z-Man" sandwich. Hunter & Madi's go to order is a "burnt end Z-Man". Just remember, they are closed on Sundays!
Visit the memorial and enjoy the overlook of downtown Kansas City (great photo op). Or spend the morning visiting the museum.
Visit the Arvin Gottlieb Planetarium or visit one of the current touring exhibitions. One of Kansas City's iconic attractions. Grab a coffee, drink, or bite to eat while you are there.
Enjoy the City Market (farmers market) in the morning, or River Market dining and shopping throughout the day. We recommend grabbing lunch or dinner at Harry's Country Club and if you're still up for dessert, grab ice cream at Betty Rae's.
Enjoy the Downtown OP farmers market on Saturday morning. Grab a bite to eat at Buffalo State Pizza (one of Hunter and Madi's favorites) or Taco Naco (where they had their first date) for breakfast burritos or a casual lunch/dinner. Other great places to grab a bite to eat: Atomic Cowboy, Denver Biscuit Co., Dragon Inn, or Strang Hall (food hall with many cuisine options).
Enjoy a coffee/breakfast/lunch/casual French dinner at the French Market (one of Madi's favorites), grab a quick sandwich at Goodcents (our beloved & very casual sub sandwich shop), or explore the many shops!
Visit this historic block and spend a few hours shopping & dining. Stop into Bacaro Primo and grab a pizza for lunch or reserve ahead for a modern Italian dinner. Pop over to Vita's Place for a glass of wine afterwards. Be sure to reserve ahead! Another great option is Aixois French Bistro for breakfast, causal lunch, or an intimate French dinner.
