It all started in August 2021, when a cute new BDR named Maddie joined the FloQast team. Harrison had been there since March, and the two became part of the LA office crew (shoutout Miss Janet’s Disciples) where their friendship began. In 2022, Maddie moved to New York and Harrison back to Lake Oswego, but soon a group trip to Black Butte brought them back together. Harrison still remembers picking Maddie up from the Redmond airport, thinking, this person is special. It took about a year before they admitted they liked each other, although who made the first move is still up for debate. Harrison claims it was inviting Maddie to Boston but Maddie says it was her text saying, in plain English, “I really like you.” Their first official date was in Chicago: batting cages, pop-a-shot (Maddie won), an architecture boat tour, and a Dave Matthews Band concert. From there, it was long distance: New York, Lake Oswego, Boston, Santa Cruz, LA, Palm Springs, and Vegas (where Miss Janet’s Disciples finally found out). Eventually they both landed back in LA. Harrison got an apartment and Maddie was definitely not going to move in until we had tried living in the same city for the first time. Maddie started paying rent 3 months later. They shared a tiny apartment in Santa Monica and spent the year traveling a ton together. On a family trip in Sunriver, Harrison got permission. By December, he had the ring. And in February 2025, on a birthday trip to Santa Barbara, he proposed and got stiff armed (see below).
