In light of the most recent CDC guidelines and the responses to the vaccination questionnaire, we have altered our mask policy. We strongly encourage all guests who are unvaccinated or otherwise at-risk, especially children and elderly, to wear a mask whenever possible. However, we will not be enforcing mask-wearing at any of the events.
We will do our best to space out rows of seats during the wedding ceremony and tables during the reception. We also plan on avoiding lines from forming during meal times, and we will have sanitizing stations before the buffet line.
If possible, we strongly recommend all guests to group-quarantine at least 7 days before the first event they attend. This means limiting contact with anyone who will not be attending the wedding event. This will allow us to further reduce the risk, especially for those who have not yet been vaccinated. We understand that for many guests this is not possible due to various work environments.
We do not want anyone to get Covid-19 at our wedding. In order to ensure this, we are requesting that guests fill out a form letting us know that they have been fully vaccinated two weeks before attendance, or that they have gotten a negative Covid test taken no more than 7 days before attendance. Thanks so much for your help in making this a time of celebration :-)
We are requesting all guests who are not vaccinated at least a week before the event to report a negative Covid-19 test result taken within 7 days of the event. We will be emailing out a survey to fill out once the test results have arrived. Please make sure you plan accordingly so that the test results arrive in time. Additionally, we encourage all unvaccinated guests to protect themselves and their family by wearing masks whenever possible.
If you tested positive in your most recent Covid-19 test, please do NOT attend the event, regardless of your symptoms. We will miss you greatly, and we appreciate your understanding.
Covid-19 testing is free nationwide at health centers and select pharmacies due to the Families First Coronavirus Response Act signed by President Trump (https://www.hhs.gov/coronavirus/community-based-testing-sites/index.html#left-nav-coronavirus--level-1-item-4). Here is a resource to find a Covid-19 testing site in Texas and select other states: https://www.gogettested.com/ Vaccines are quite safe, effective, and free for all those eligible. Many states have expanded eligibility to the entire adult population.
