I first met Madison in second grade, and I knew her as the curly haired girl who sat across from me. In 6th grade, we ended up in the same orchestra, and she met me for, apparently, the first time. Soon enough, we became stand partners, academic rivals, and great friends. I remember that at the end of nearly every orchestra concert in 7th grade, my bow would meet her curly hair and bring it down as I played the final note of the piece. I would turn to find her rubbing her head in pain and would rush to apologize but end up getting us both in trouble for talking during a concert. Yet, she would simply laugh it off -- something characteristic of her personality. Even now she still laughs at my corny jokes. We got to know each other best as lab partners in our chemistry class during 10th grade. You could say -- as our friends constantly like to remind us -- that Madison and I had chemistry together. Friendship developed into something more, and by the end of high school, I knew I had found my perfect person. -Eshaan
Eshaan and I continued dating into college, and he was my best friend and biggest supporter. Whenever I was having a rough time for any reason, I always knew I could turn to him to keep me grounded and moving forward. I’ll never forget the time that I had an all-around terrible day, and, that night, he texted me to look out my dormitory window, and I saw him standing there four stories below with my favorite food raised in one hand. I’m so lucky to have found someone who remembers all the little things that make me smile and who understands me so completely. From kids to now adults, Eshaan has been my best friend and the perfect partner. -Madison
