Our story started long before we ever imagined where life would take us. When we were kids, Dylan played peewee football with Madison’s older brother, and Madison was one of the cheerleaders for their team — the Titans. Dylan’s dad and stepmom got along great with Madison’s mom and stepdad, so every now and then, when Dylan was at his dad’s house, our families would get together for Sunday football games. Back then, we didn’t really talk — just two kids in the same room, not knowing that years later, our paths would cross again in the best way possible. A Snowy Reunion Fast forward many years later to December 30, 2020. Madison was at home when she got a call from Dylan’s stepmom and her mom, who were at the deer lease. They told her it was going to snow and that she should come up with Dylan. Madison hadn’t seen him in years and barely knew him, so yes — she was nervous! The next morning, Dylan pulled up to pick her up, and their six-hour car ride as near-strangers began. What could have been awkward turned out to be anything but. Dylan sang along to Kanye West, Ice Cube and Micky Gilley the whole way, making Madison laugh. Somewhere between the music, the jokes, and the conversations, something just clicked. The Start of Something Real At the deer lease, they finally had time to talk and get to know each other.
