Flight

Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN)

El Prat is 7.5 miles from the city. The easiest and fastest way to get from the airport to the city is via taxi. Taxis in Barcelona are efficient and well-organized; they're easy to see (black and yellow) and easy to find at the exit of Terminals T1 and T2. A taxi from the airport to the city centre will cost between 30 and 40 Euros depending on how much luggage you have, and where in the city you are going.

Train

Metro & Taxis

Using the metro is the fastest and cheapest way to get around the city. Especially for sightseeing if you're crossing the city. It's a pretty easy system to figure out, much easier than NYC! It is made up of 180 stations and 12 lines that cover 90 miles. Barcelona's licensed taxis are easily identified by their yellow and black exterior. They have to charge you the amount displayed on the meter. Taxis here are said to be the cheapest in Europe so if it's more convenient, we would recommend a taxi over the metro depending on your destination. Barcelona is VERY much a walking city and easy to navigate!

House Or Rental

Airbnb & VRBO

Airbnb and VRBO are great options especially if you would like to stay with a group. We recommend looking in the Eixample, Raval, Gotic, & Born neighborhoods. However, Ciutat Vella is also a great option if you want to be close to the beach. Don't hesitate to reach out to Madison with questions on location.
