Take a stroll down East Bay Street and check out the colorful homes that have made Rainbow Row famous. It’s a picture-perfect spot that captures Charleston’s charm. Don’t forget to snap some photos—this street is iconic for a reason!
If you're in the mood for a relaxing walk with stunning views, head over to The Battery and White Point Garden. It’s the perfect place to wander, enjoy the harbor views, and maybe even catch a glimpse of some historic cannons. A great spot to relax and take in the beauty of Charleston! You should also visit the Waterfront Park, where the iconic pineapple fountain can be found!
If you’re on the hunt for a unique gift or something to remember your trip by, the City Market is where you’ll want to go. From sweetgrass baskets to local crafts, there’s something for everyone. Grab a snack from a food stall and just take your time exploring this bustling market.
Grab a bite at one of the many waterfront restaurants (our favorites are Saltwater Cowboy or Red’s Ice House) or rent a kayak if you’re up for some adventure. Pro tip: Get there early—parking fills up fast, and you won’t want to miss out on the best spots with a view! • • • This is also a popular nightlife area in Mt. Pleasant - so lots of guests will be heading here after the rehearsal dinner / wedding!
Take a step back in time at Boone Hall Plantation, where you can walk under the famous Avenue of Oaks and explore the historic grounds. It’s a peaceful escape, and you’ll learn a lot about Charleston’s history while taking in some beautiful scenery. I would recommend getting tickets ahead of time. Open Sunday 12-5 or Monday 9-5.
Typically a quieter beach known for its natural beauty and charming restaurants - but will still probably be packed over the Holiday weekend! You can grab lunch at one of the local cafes or even rent bikes to explore the area. Plus, the historic Fort Moultrie is right there if you’re into history or just looking for a good photo op.
For my athletic friends — walk or bike across this iconic bridge that connects downtown Charleston and Mount Pleasant for stunning views of the Cooper River.
