Monterey Bay Aquarium
Housed in a historic sardine cannery on Cannery Row, the aquarium features a towering three‑story kelp forest, a million‑gallon Open Sea tank, otters, jellyfish, and so much more
Lovers Point Park
A charming park in Pacific Grove, great for a picnic or sunrise/sunset walks. Fans of Big Little Lies might recognize the view as there were several scenes filmed right here along the coast.
Monterey Bay Coastal Trail
This scenic 18-mile paved trail hugs the coastline and connects Cannery Row, the Wharf, Lovers Point, and beyond. Ideal for walking, jogging, or biking
Asilomar State Beach
A beautiful spot to walk, explore tide pools, or watch the sunset. Fun fact: the gazebo on this beach was where Aaron proposed to Madison!
17 Mile Drive
One of the most iconic coastal routes in California, 17-Mile Drive winds through Pebble Beach with views of the ocean, golf courses, and the famous Lone Cypress. One of the best ways to experience the drive is by e-bike, which you can rent from Cannery Row
Carmel-by-the-Sea
Fairytale cottages, boutique shops, galleries like the Carmel Art Association. The beach is absolutely gorgeous

Located in the historic Cooper Molera Adobe, Alta offers pastries, seasonal breakfast dishes, and specialty coffee in a charming garden courtyard

A local favorite for big, delicious sandwiches. They’re so popular, they only serve them until the bread runs out, so go for an early lunch!

Shadowbrook Restaurant
Tucked away in Capitola (about 40 minutes north), the Shadowbrook has been a long-time family favorite and is known for its enchanting hillside setting, cable car ride to the entrance, and cozy, old-school charm. It’s a bit out of the way, but perfect for a special dinner if you're extending your trip!

Great spot for sunset drinks & dinner. Insider tip: ask for the sunset local menu!
Rosine's Restaurant
A local favorite featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. A family favorite as it's one of few spots that comes close to Grandma's eggs benedict.
The Sardine Factory
An iconic Monterey spot known for its fresh seafood & steaks, with multiple dining rooms. Highly recommend sitting in the glass conservatory room!
