Why do I need to complete a background check to attend the wedding?

Answer

The Hotel Del Monte is located on the grounds of the Naval Postgraduate School, an active U.S. military installation. As such, all civilian guests are required to complete a background check in order to access the property. This is a standard security protocol established by the U.S. Navy to ensure the safety and integrity of the base.

Please provide your email to Madison or Aaron, or via this link (https://forms.gle/Q3qhSmvxbM86wxp46) The required form will be sent via email from breanna.rose@nps.edu. You will need to fill it out, print & sign, and return to Breanna via email.

Will this affect my credit or show up on any public records?

Answer

Not at all. This is not a credit check or criminal investigation—just a basic clearance process to ensure access to the military facility.

Is this the same as my RSVP?

Answer

No—this is a separate step from the formal RSVP and is required for security clearance only. You'll still need to submit your RSVP when the time comes.

What do I need to bring on the day of the wedding?

Answer

As we approach our wedding day, you’ll receive a guest pass via email. You’ll need to print this pass and bring it with you to present at the gate. In addition, you must bring a valid government-issued photo ID (must be "REAL ID" or PASSPORT) to be granted access to the base.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive on the property between 4:00 - 4:30 to allow time to get through the gate.

Both the ceremony and reception will be hosted indoors!
