The Proposal

4/20/19

Aaron proposed on April 20th 2019. They were in Charleston that weekend for Easter. He told her he had made reservations Saturday night but did not say where. They arrived at 82 Queen, a restaurant they had gone to together in high school. They were seated and ordered drinks. Shortly after the drinks arrived (needed something to kill the nerves, ha!), Aaron got down on one knee and proposed. Maddy of course said yes. Aaron then informed her they were going upstairs. In the private dining room were family and friends waiting to celebrate; including Maddy’s parents who had secretly traveled in from Chattanooga. The night could not have been more special or perfect.

How we met

#younglove

Aaron and Maddy met while Aaron was attending an all boys boarding school in Chattanooga and Maddy was attending the sister school. Their *first* interaction was at a football game their junior year. Aaron told Maddy she was beautiful, Maddy swooned. A few months later Aaron texted Maddy and asked her to an upcoming dance. She gladly accepted. Her parents still joke about the first time they met him. She continuously warned them “Don’t embarrass me, this is the cutest boy in the whole school.” Luckily, they didn’t embarrass her and they continued to date until they left for their freshman year of college. Maddy attending Ole Miss and Aaron attending Clemson. They knew the distance was too far and if things were meant to be eventually they would find a way. And eventually they did. Once they reconnected it was as if no time had passed at all. Maddy and Aaron have already spent so many chapters of their life together, and look forward to spending all the chapters of their life to come together.
