Man of Honor
Madie has known Paxton (Buzz) for his entire life. She spoke for him for the first several years and made him play dress up with her. Paxton will probably fit right in with the Lorenzoni side of Scott's family, as he has developed an affinity for the Buffalo Bills because of the Bills Mafia; one day, he hopes to dress in Bills zubaz pants and chow down on wings in preparation for smashing folding tables. Madie is honored to have her only brother as her Man of Honor.
Bridesmaid
There probably is not anyone more excited for Scott and Madie to be married than Michaela. The pair are honored for Scott's younger sister to join them on their wedding day. The lone girl among the Kornberg kids growing up, Scott is extremely appreciative of Michaela for attending so many of his baseball, basketball, football and soccer games. He is also so proud of her for graduating from Towson University and dedicating her jobs in the real world so far to helping other people. He is also so happy that Michaela and Madie share a close relationship together as well.
Bridesman
Pat, Scott and Madie met in 2014 when they worked for the Quad Cities River Bandits. The three of them started Catfish Frydays, A Tradition Unlike Any Other presented by Big JJ's, and also took road trips to pretty much every Midwestern MLB park. One of the biggest fans of The Office that Madie and Scott have ever met, Pat also is a lifelong Cleveland sports fan, which has helped build a lot of character through the years. Many have asked, What If... Pat was a bridesman in Madie and Scott's wedding? On September 6, we'll find out.
Flower Girl
Ysabel is Madie's sister and self-proclaimed girlfriend of Scott. She will choose Scott over her siblings every single time and refuses to acknowledge the fact that she will be Scott's sister-in-law instead of his girlfriend - obviously, at just four years old, she has learned well that if you ignore your problems, they will just go away. Though she may have outgrown her obsession for Arby's, Ysabel is a huge fan of puppies, Paw Patrol, Spirit, the Chicago Cubs and lollipops. This sweet little superstar/boss has started figure skating lessons so she can skate away from Santa Claus, who she does not really quite appreciate just yet. There is a small chance she disrupts the wedding to try to steal Scott from Madie, but the happy couple are hoping she is content as the flower girl.
Best Man
Scott met Jay when the pair played soccer together and were later placed in Mrs. Lococo's class for fourth grade. The two bonded instantly through countless sleepovers by watching Lord of the Rings and playing the movie series' video games, in which Jay was pretty much invincible when using Legolas. Some of those sleepovers also involved epic clashes of mini hockey, as well as Jay dressing up like crazy to go orc hunting. After numerous hangouts at each other's homes, often involving swimming in Jay's pool, Jay introduced Scott to the beauty of Wyoming on an amazing trip, and also to college sports. The pair have a friendly Big Ten rivalry with Jay being a proud of alumnus of Michigan State.
Best Man
When Scott first met Tim during their freshman year at the University of Maryland, he couldn't figure out why Tim kept interrupting his conversation with some other friends. Scott left that interaction thinking, 'Thank goodness I never have to see that guy again.' Little did he know at the time, they'd become the closest of roommates, sharing their dorms in Calvert 1209 and Commons 6306 through numerous get-togethers, game watch parties, road trips to Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama, intramural teams, Maryland sporting events, cooking adventures and much, much more. Scott and Tim's relationship is often compared to that of Ted and Marshall's in How I Met Your Mother.
Best Man
John and Scott were introduced to each other by their parents in the library when they were about five years old. Ever since, they’ve been the best of friends, bonding over their love of Seinfeld and The Office, all sorts of movies, watching and playing sports and also eating great food. Scott was so proud to be John's best man when John married Amanda in October of 2017. He and Scott have been best friends for more than 20 years, through two different towns in New Jersey and then their moves for college and into the real world. John also has the distinction of scoring the first-ever touchdown in Montgomery's Backyard Football League history.
Groomsman
Scott is thrilled to share his special day with his brother, Adam. Scott's younger brother by about five-and-a-half years, one of Scott's proudest memories of Adam was watching him graduate college from the University of Wisconsin, where Adam received numerous honors and accolades. An outstanding baseball player as a kid, Adam played in the 10U Cal Ripken League World Series in 2006 in Lafayette, Louisiana. An avid traveler, Adam has been to several cities on Scott's wish list, and has also enjoyed trips to Puerto Rico and Europe. Adam is also an extraordinary cook, and Scott takes his food and restaurant recommendations with the highest regard.
Groomsman
Scott is so excited to share his Wedding Day with his youngest brother, Ian. Perhaps the funniest person Scott knows, Scott and Ian share several common interests, like an enthusiasm for radio, The Office and Seinfeld. Scott is extremely proud of Ian for graduating from The Bridge School in New Jersey and moving on to focus on his studies in college. Born about seven years apart, Scott enjoys listening to Ian's new podcast and is waiting for the episode in which Ian brings up tattling on Scott to their parents for driving his car too fast down the road in their neighborhood. Scott is also fond of remembering how Ian's great sense of humor helped lighten plenty of long car rides on vacation when they were kids.
Groomsman
Neil and Scott met while playing for the purple basketball team when Scott moved to Montgomery for third grade. Quickly, they started hanging out more and more through elementary school and middle school, and their relationship heavily involved basketball and baseball. Scott has always felt that the mark of a great friend means that distance is not an obstacle, so when Neil moved to Switzerland during high school, the pair remained very close. Once Neil came back to America for college, he and Scott truly reconnected and became closer than ever. Scott is honored to be a groomsman in Neil's wedding in August of 2019.
Groomsman
Scott and George attended the same orientation during the summer before their freshman year at the University of Maryland. George being George, he did not leave the greatest first impression, but during Kim Davis' journalism class, he and Scott found themselves hanging out more and more during freshman year. Once George moved into Calvert 1209 for sophomore year, he and Scott became extremely close friends. George was a huge part of Scott's college life, as the two shared some classes together (most of which went better than their computer science experience), get-togethers, watch parties, road trips and also fantasy football, where Spencer is the greatest player of all-time (#SpencerEffect).
Officiant
The officiant for Scott and Madie's wedding, Charlie was also at the same UMD orientation as Scott and George in the summer of 2009. He and Scott became quick friends because of their love of baseball, and the two started becoming close through their journalism classes. Perhaps their greatest feat together was the all-nighter they pulled to complete a video project for one of their classes, submitting the project one minute before it was due. Once they moved into Commons, Scott was a frequent visitor to Charlie's apartment 3 doors down the hall, oftentimes sitting on Charlie's throne of phone books and Scott pestering him about putting his amazing pictures of their friend group on Facebook. Like Scott, Charlie has also experienced the fierce wrath of the #SpencerEffect in fantasy football.
