Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

This is tricky - officially, the answer is no. The Iowa Taproom utilizes street parking, but the meters run until 9PM, making it difficult to manage. There is free parking behind the Taproom in the city-owned lots, but only after business hours. With those lots being unavailable until after the ceremony, we highly recommend using the hotel shuttles or taking a Lyft or Uber.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We are planning on meeting everyone who wants to join for drinks Thursday night around 8PM at Ernie's Boondock in the East Village of DSM.. Also, everyone is welcome to stop by for brunch on Saturday morning from 10am-1pm (located at DLR Group on Locust Street).

At the moment, we are only able to accommodate those that are listed on the invitation.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please check the travel tab of our website for hotel suggestions. With most people traveling from out of town, we have blocks at several hotels.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be indoors! Our cocktail hour will have some outdoor space available if the weather is nice, however.
