Punta Cana Travel Tips
* Please insure your passport does not expire within 6 months prior to your departure to Punta Cana. * *All foreign and Dominican passengers entering or departing the Dominican Republic on commercial flights must complete the free electronic entry and exit form at: https://eticket.migracion.gob.do Fill this form out prior to arriving to the airport and bring a printed copy with you. *When arriving to Punta Cana airport: After clearing Customs and Immigration proceed to the arrivals and transportation area located OUTSIDE of the terminal. The hallway between Customs and the airport exit is dedicated to timeshare sales. Avoid solicitation by walking directly past the timeshare booths and agents and exit the building. Look for the Seasons Tours desk. *When departing from Punta Cana airport: Do not let anyone help you take your bags inside. Get them directly from your driver and proceed into the airport. Print your own boarding pass and get in the line to get it stamped by customs (right beside the check in kiosks). This is a crucial step as they will not let you board the plane without this extra stamp on your boarding pass. *Keep your passport and all important travel documents inside your bags at all times. Do not place it in the bin with your luggage as you go through security checkpoints as things can get "lost". *Tap water in Punta Cana is not good to drink. The water at the resort itself is filtered, besides the shower and sink water. It is best to brush your teeth with bottled water. All ice and water served at meals are filtered and safe to drink at the resort. If off property, only drink bottled water and no ice.
