ATTIRE: Black-tie optional / Formal Men: Black tuxedo or a black suit with a tie. If you don't have black, then aim for dark blue. Women: Don't be afraid to wear color! We encourage our guests to dress on-theme and be a part of the decor. We recommend bright, monochromatic ankle or floor-length dresses. Have fun with it! :) We also understand that not everyone wants to wear a dress. In that case, we recommend slacks with a colorful top.
Yes! We have decided to skip the traditional rehearsal dinner and invite all wedding guests to join us for a welcome dinner on Friday, June 25th, the night before our wedding. This dinner will take place at Harvest Inn’s vineyard terrace event space at 6:00pm.
This event is a chance to mingle before the big day! Plan to dress more casually than the wedding day. (Example: jeans and a nice top or a flowery sundress.)
Only those formally invited on your wedding invitation can be accommodated. If you have a “plus-one,” it will be noted on your invitation and when you RSVP.
All guests should arrive to V. Sattui at 6:00pm for a glass of sparkling wine before the ceremony. The wedding ceremony begins at 6:30pm.
We have decided to have a child-free wedding, so everyone can fully relax and enjoy the evening with us!
We have arranged for a shuttle bus to transport guests between V. Sattui and both Harvest Inn and the Napa Valley Marriott before and after the wedding. Please see the Travel page for specific pick-up times and more details.
San Francisco (SFO): SFO offers the widest variety of flights for those travelling from the East Coast, with direct service to nearly every major city in the United States. It typically takes 1h 30min to drive from SFO to the center of Napa Valley. *SFO also has the largest rental car station of all airports in the area. Sacramento (SMF): Sacramento is roughly the same distance to Napa as SFO (1h 30min drive). The airport offers direct flights to Newark, JFK, Boston, and Washington-Dulles. *SMF also has a sizable rental car facility, and traffic is relatively light around Sacramento compared to San Francisco/Oakland. Oakland (OAK): Oakland is technically the geographically closest major airport to the wedding venue (1h 15min drive). It does not offer any direct flights to the East Coast, but could be a good option for anyone west of the Mississippi. Sonoma/Santa Rosa (STS): STS is the closest airport to Napa Valley (40 min drive), with limited flight selection from Southwest, Alaska, and American. STS could be a very convenient—albeit expensive—option for guests on the West Coast, or those on the East Coast who are willing to take a connecting flight.
Due to Napa County regulations, hard liquor (gin, vodka, rum, tequila, etc.) cannot be served or consumed on the premises of the winery during the ceremony or reception. We encourage our guests 21 and over to enjoy V. Sattui’s world-class wines, which are made on-site, throughout the course of night! If you prefer hard liquor, be sure to attend our welcome dinner the night before at Harvest Inn for cocktails.
