In the peak of Summer COVID-19 2020, Madi & Austin both downloaded and set up their first-ever dating profiles in July 2020 (thanks to the help of our friends, Maddy Allen and Hannah Haller). Less than 1 month into the online dating scene, Madi liked a picture on Austin's Hinge profile and Austin gave a witty comment about games, "You name the game, I'll beat you" and well here you are today on our wedding website RSVPing to see us get married. But to finish the story, we went on our first date on August 5th and a few short weeks later we made it official. August 18th marked our anniversary together which will soon change come May. Our first date never ended, we moved in together soon after meeting, fell in love quickly, and have never fell out of it. We are beyond excited to take the giant leap (Boiler Up) from dating to wed.

Austin and Madi had planned on going to Chicago for Madi's 26th Birthday, upon getting to the Windy City, Madi was surprised by a few of our friends in the AirBnb. She was elated that this birthday weekend celebration included some of her favorite people, but the surprises did not stop there... As the couple headed to dinner on St. Patrick's Day (March 17th), more of Madi's friends were waiting for her outside the AirBnb, she couldn't believe it! The large group headed to dinner where Madi's family was waiting minus her younger brother, Jacob. We enjoyed a fantastic Italian dinner by Millennium Park. The next morning was Madi's birthday, so the group headed to Happy Camper in Wrigleyville for Brunch. After brunch we headed to one of the couple's favorite bars, Sluggers where we all took turns in the batting cages (and coat gate happened, ask Austin about that). After hitting a few shots at Pop-a-Shot and swinging the bat in the batting cages they headed to another bar (so Madi thought, High Low). On our way to High Low our Uber dropped everyone at Humboldt Park, the group walked to a structure overlooking the park, and the missing family member, Jacob, appears as well as two close family friends, and then Austin got down on one knee and popped the question! Madi's answer was "YES" and the group celebrated back at the AirBnb in Madi & Austin style with food and games! The weekend began as a birthday celebration and ended with an engagement celebration and is a weekend the couple will never forget!
