Get ready to get a little messy! This is the bridal shower - the ritual is the start of the actual wedding prep, where the bride gets ready to look her best on their special day. The haldi ceremony is where close family members/friends smear her with oil and turmeric. The intention is to make the skin glow, so that the bride literally outshines the others on their wedding day! This is followed by a bath, after which the family presents the bride with brand new clothes along with jewelry and flowers.
