Ethan and Grif first met back in middle school, but it wasn’t until the world slowed down during Covid that their friendship really took off. Like so many great friendships, theirs started with countless hours of video games, but over time Ethan became so much more than a gaming buddy—he’s been one of Grif’s biggest supporters. For the past five years, through FaceTime calls and late-night conversations, they’ve helped keep each other grounded. Ethan’s loyalty, work ethic, and genuine heart make him an incredible friend. These days, he’s spending time with his girlfriend, Bella, and serving his community as part of the Blount County police force. Grif couldn’t be prouder to call him a friend!

Michael—better known as Mac—and Grif met during their very first week in Evansville, Indiana, with the Otters in 2024. Mac made his presence known right away, and from that point on there was never a quiet moment when he was around. On their first road trip to Joliet, Illinois, the two of them spent an entire game talking in the bullpen, and from that night on, Mac became a constant in Grif’s life. Grif credits Mac’s words of wisdom and friendship as a huge reason he’s still chasing his baseball dreams today. Mac’s wife, Michelle, has also been such a gift, making Madelyn feel at home and welcome at every game—they are truly a special pair in Grif and Madelyn’s lives.

Caleb has a way of bringing energy and laughter wherever he goes, and there’s never a dull moment when he’s around. When Grif moved to Knoxville, distance pulled them apart for a while, but eventually, they found their way back to each other the same way so many friendships do—through video games. Bryce has one of the kindest hearts and has always been the kind of friend Grif can count on, no matter the time or place. Today, Bryce has a beautiful family of his own, with his wife Skyler and their sweet little girl, Faith.
