Where is the venue and how do we get there?

Answer

Our venue is tucked away on top of a mountain in Oakdale, TN, which makes it beautiful and a little bit remote! You can find the exact address and a map on our wedding website. We suggest plugging it into GPS ahead of time and giving yourself a little extra travel time just in case.

What time should we arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving about 30 minutes before the ceremony starts so you have plenty of time to park, find your seat, and take in the mountain views before we say “I do”!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is plenty of parking! The hill to get to the venue is pretty steep so drive carefully!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with everyone! Just a quick note—only guests included on the RSVP list will be able to join us, so please make sure your plus-one is listed ahead of time.

Is there transportation to and from the wedding?

Answer

No there is not. Either carpool or call an uber, but do NOT drink and drive!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

If you peek at our venue on a map, you’ll see it’s perched right on a mountain! The closest town is Harriman (with a few hotel options), and Oak Ridge and Knoxville both offer more places to stay. We hope you’ll find a comfortable place nearby and make a little getaway out of it!

Is the ceremony/reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors so we can soak up those amazing views. The reception will be indoors, just a short walk from the ceremony site.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be cocktail attire (also called semi-formal). For men, this typically means a suit and tie; for women, a cocktail dress, midi dress, or a dressy jumpsuit are perfect. If you’d like to play with our color palette, our wedding colors are navy blue and blush pink—but there’s no pressure at all! It’s just a fun way to join in if you’re inspired.

As much as we love your little ones, we’ve decided to make this an adults-only celebration. We hope you enjoy a fun night out!

When is the RSVP Deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 20th, 2026. This helps us finalize details and make sure there’s a spot for you at the table!

Do I still need to respond to the RSVP if I cannot make it?

We completely understand, but we’ll definitely miss you! When you have a moment, please click the RSVP button and choose “will not attend” — it really helps us keep everything organized. Thank you!

Can I send a gift to your home?

Answer

That’s so thoughtful! If you’d like to send a gift, please ship it to our home address listed on the registry instead of bringing it to the wedding. It makes traveling much easier for everyone.

What if I want to give money instead?

Answer

Your presence is truly the greatest gift! If you would like to give a gift, we’ve included an option for monetary gifts through our registry and wedding website.

Will there be food options for dietary restrictions?

Answer

Yes! Please let us know about any allergies or dietary needs when you RSVP, and we’ll do our best to make sure you’re taken care of.

Is there an open bar?

Answer

The bar won’t be open all night, but we’ll have plenty of drinks available until they run out—so make sure to enjoy them while they last! Please note, there will be no transportation available after the celebration, so plan accordingly for your ride home.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We’d love for you to be fully present during the ceremony, so we’re asking guests to keep phones and cameras tucked away until the “I do’s” are done. After that, snap away at the reception and use #madabouthughes when you post on social media!

What happens if it rains?

Answer

Don’t worry—we have a plan! If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move the ceremony inside so everyone stays dry and cozy.

Can I call/text someone the day of if I get lost or have questions?

Answer

Absolutely! We’ll share a contact number closer to the date so someone can help guide you if you need directions or have any last-minute questions. (Pro tip: download directions ahead of time just in case cell service is spotty up the mountain!)
