Our Story
Our story began back in 2015, when fate (and the internet) brought us together. After a little convincing, our parents agreed to let us meet for the first time — and so our very first date took place at the Toledo Zoo on October 18, 2015.
We were young and figuring out life, so our paths eventually took us in different directions. But that time apart allowed us to grow, learn, and become the people we were meant to be.
Years later, on what would have been our anniversary, Blake had a sudden intrusive thought to send Madelyn a simple “Happy 8-year anniversary” text — and that one message changed everything.
What started as a sweet reconnection quickly reminded us why we fell for each other all those years ago. Now, after all this time, we’re so grateful that life has brought us back together — and we can’t wait to begin this next chapter as husband and wife. 💜
