Our Story

Madeline and Robert met in a random chat room in 2018. Neither of us were searching for love or expecting it. Both of us were focusing on their own self-development- Madeline on her education and Robert on his job. But after a couple months of night-long talks and perfect chemistry, Robert asked Madeline out on a date, and she said yes. On August 4th, 2018, we became a formal couple, and were already seriously falling in love with each other. Robert loved her direct and authentic personality, and Madeline loved his charismatic and wholesome charm. Madeline knew after their first date that she would never go on another one again, and while it took Robert a bit more time, he had already been in love with her, too. Together, we never get bored of talking to or hanging out with each other, even on six-hour-long road trips. We can talk about anything and make anything exciting to each other- from video games to work to kitchen backsplashes. Even after five years together, we’re still completely obsessed with each other. It’s honestly a little sickening. Over the course of their relationship, we’ve been through a lot with each other. Our close friends and family members will remember some of the tragedies we’ve faced together as a couple- many of which are so intense, they would tear a lot of relationships apart very easily. But our bond is really deep, and we work to support the other. We can never stay angry at each other long term, and strive to communicate with and support each other. We are each other’s rock. Robert proposed to Madeline on December 14th, 2022, after four years of dating. He proposed in front of the Lightner Museum in St. Augustine, behind the statue (as pictured in our gallery slideshow), during the Night Of Lights, a holiday light festival put on in the city. The Lightner Museum was a favorite spot of Madeline’s late mother, and is extremely sentimental for her. They had spent the entire day doing her favorite things, and had a romantic dinner at Collage, before he took her on a walk to the Lightner and popped the question. It was a private and intimate proposal, but one Madeline will remember for the rest of her life. Despite some setbacks, we’re determined to create a beautiful life with one another, and have so many plans for the future. We are so excited for our wedding day and the happiness that our marriage will bring into our lives, and are especially happy to spend our big day with the people we love the most. Thank you so much for being a part of the beginning of the rest of our lives. 💕 Love, Madeline And Robert.
