We first met online (Facebook) in the Summer of 2013, but would not have our first date until that Fall. Our Anniversary is October 23rd, 2013. We agreed to meet after work at the Hotel Lounge "Doug Fir" in NE Portland. I arrived first, and watched as Derrick came into the bar. He took a DEEP breath to steady himself and the rest is history.

We have always taken road trips, and long drives in the car. On our 5th year Anniversary, we drove to Black Butte Ranch in Central Oregon. I was relaxing and watching TV, while Derrick was (supposed) to be making dinner. He kept asking me to get up and watch the Sunset with him. When I got up and walked out of the room, there were candles and rose petals lining the hallway. Still not fully understanding what was happening, I kept asking questions about the flowers and the candles. I had recently asked Derrick to be more romantic, and I had NO idea he was about to propose. Derrick got down on one knee, told me to stop talking and asked me to be his wife.

Derrick designed and built our new home (from the ground up). We moved into the house this Summer! We live there with our two cats (Bug and Sassy), our 5 pound Albino Chihuahua (Bubba Bean) and our daughter (Remington) who was born last December in 2018. I am working at Nike World Headquarters in HR Footwear, and Derrick continues to work as a Real Estate Developer for his own Company. He has also been working with the Homeless Veterans Project, and strives to make a difference in the Portland Community. Remington Rose came earth side on a Wednesday morning at 8:31AM on December 5th, 2018. Born at Emanuel Hospital, our worlds axis has forever been changed. We continue to learn from her and discover new milestones every day. We are so excited to share our special day with you. It means the world to have everyone share in this special moment with the three of us. We look forward to seeing everyone in November.
