Through a chain of events, Dalton and Madeline met in early August of 2023, which can only be through God’s guidance. Dalton just arrived back from living one year in Hawaii and Madeline had just started her last year of graduate school. The couple met through mutual friends Adie and Billy Johnston, now married since this past year 25.’ Billy and Dalton being childhood friends. Adie and Madeline being friends since 2021 through the tail end of college, and had moved into an old 70’s style ranch house with their friends Hannah and Chance. So it was only right that when Adie had Billy over for a board game night, one of the first nights in the new house, Adie asked Madeline to join and Billy invited Dalton to tag along. The saying really is true home is where the heart is. It is sweet to say that the relationship began with friendship and a popular board game. There were many times spent in community amongst friends, parties deep in conversation, a firefly ball with a slow dance between the two, three moves with lots of boxes, small inquiries of asking others about crushes among the two, and more adventures spending time getting to know each other more. The beginning of the couple dating started with a wedding believe it or not. Madeline asked Dalton to join her for her friend Caroline's valentines weekend wedding which so happened to cement the realization that they should in fact be more than friends. Dalton asked Madeline that night to go on a date the next day and haven’t stopped going on dates since then. We are so excited to celebrate God's hand in our lives over us and to thank you all for supporting/growing us through the many seasons of our lives. We love you guys thank you!
