Unfortunately, space is limited, so invitations are only for names listed on the envelope. If you have any questions, please send us a text!

Which airport should I fly into?

Answer

DCA (Reagan National Airport) is the closest—and offers the most convenient journey into the city. Take the yellow or blue line to get into the heart of DC in ~30 minutes. You can also take the silver line metro from IAD (Dulles) or the Marc Train from BWI. Rideshare is available at all three airports though it can be expensive from Dulles and BWI.

How can I take public transit to the wedding?

Answer

We're SO glad you asked. Doubles is about a 10 minute walk from the Georgia Ave-Petworth Metro station which is on the Green Line. You can also take the D40 and D4X buses; they both have stops right on the block.

Do I need to rent a car? How is parking around the venue?

Answer

No, you don't! DC is extremely walkable, bike-able, and public transit-rich. Parking around Doubles is tight; if you're driving, you should plan on parking a block or two away from Georgia Ave.

What's the weather like in DC in June?

Answer

Around this time of year, the highs are usually in the 80s, but the humidity can place the "feels like" temperature in the 90s. There are also summer thunderstorms in the afternoons and evenings. Bring an umbrella!

Should I extend my visit to play tourist?

Answer

Yes! We'd love for our friends and family to use this weekend as a reason to finally visit DC, check out the museums, and eat delicious food! Don't hesitate to text us for additional local recommendations.
