Rachel and Maddie met in middle school and have been best friends ever since. They have stuck with each other through ups and downs and across many states. Rachel graciously took Ian and Maddie's engagement photos (featured on this website).
Olivia Doak

Olivia and Maddie met and became close friends in high school, after also spending lots of time together as kids. They grew up doing ballet lessons together and then got close in high school studying for biology tests and running track Freshman year. Maddie and Olivia stayed close while being apart in college and have visited each other a few times in Illinois and Colorado.

Erica and Maddie met during their teaching internship year at Michigan State University. They grew close during their difficult student teaching experiences and have continued to support each other through all the challenges of teaching.

Colin is Maddie's younger brother. Since Colin has moved back to the Midwest from Colorado they've enjoyed seeing each other (and playing poker) more often.

One of Ian's roommates for two years, Ian and Ryan developed a shared love of music, art, and storytelling over the course of their friendship. Sharing many late night drives and conversations, Ryan and Ian have always made each other laugh with their shared jokes, ridiculous ideas for screenplays, and hot takes about music and culture.
Connor Linn

Meeting in Ian's sophomore year of college, Connor and Ian have been friends for years. Having taken many trips together since graduating, Ian and Connor share many memories from Michigan to Pittsburgh to Chicago and beyond. Connor was an early inspiration for Ian and Maddie's explorations into vegan cuisine and meatless cooking!
Ian Drummond

One of Ian's oldest friends from college, Ian met Ian in their very first week of undergrad. The Ians both majored in economics and shared many classes and study sessions together. Living on the same floor in the dorms for two years and then as roommates in their off-campus apartments for the next three, Ian and Ian have spent almost as much time living together as Ian and Maddie have spent as a couple!
