We both lived on the fourth floor in Maher hall our freshman year of college. Nate and Madeline's friend groups remained close throughout college, but it wasn't until Madeline asked Nate to her Winter formal "as a friend," that we realized it was something more. It only took a few weeks for us to realize it was the "real deal" and the rest is history!

Nate asked Madeline to take Maisy (our dog) for a walk at USD one afternoon, and Madeline became suspicious that something was up. We walked behind the IPJ building and found a spot with a beautiful view. Maisy *ahem* had to go "number 2" right before Nate was ready to ask because clearly she had to have a part in it all! Nate got down on one knee and of course Madeline said "Yes!"
