Are kids welcome?
Answer
We love your little ones, but we're planning for our wedding to be an adults-only celebration (21+). We'll have a few kiddos there from our immediate families, but we kindly ask that you make arrangements for your children so you can relax and enjoy the party with us.

Can I bring a date?
Answer
We're so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family! If your invitation includes a "plus one", their name will be listed on your invitation. Otherwise, we kindly ask that you come solo and enjoy the party with us!

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Yes! We kindly request formal attire. Floor-length dresses are perfect for ladies, and a suit and tie is ideal for gentlemen. Please note that both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors, so we recommend bringing a jacket for added comfort.

Will the ceremony and reception be at the same location?
Answer
Yes! The ceremony and reception are both located on the rooftop level of the venue.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
Yes! Post-reception festivities will be held at Hennessey’s Tavern on Herschel Ave starting at 10pm. Late-night snacks are on the bride and groom, drinks are on you. Let’s keep the celebration rolling!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
Please arrive by 3:30pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00pm, so please plan ahead for beach traffic and limited parking to ensure you don’t miss us saying “I do”!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
Parking in La Jolla is very limited, especially near the beach. There are a small number of free public parking spaces directly in front of the venue, but they have a 3-hour time limit until 6:00 PM and tend to fill quickly. For guests who are not staying at the hotel, we strongly recommend using a rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft whenever possible. Please note that hotel valet parking is reserved for overnight hotel guests only and is available for $45 per day. If you prefer to drive, several public parking garages are located throughout downtown La Jolla, and we recommend prepaying for a spot in advance to make arrival easier. Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that you hold off on taking photos during the ceremony so we can fully soak in the moment with our nearest and dearest. Our talented photographer will be capturing all the special memories, and we can’t wait to share them with you afterward. Thanks for being so understanding, we promise it’ll be worth the wait!

Please RSVP by Friday, March 20, 2026, as seating cannot be guaranteed for responses received after this date.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
Transportation will not be provided. We suggest using services like Uber or Lyft to get around the local area.

Do you have a hotel block?
Answer
Yes! We do have a hotel room block. You can reserve a room using our room block code "MandMwedding26" through the hotel’s website (www.lajollacove.com). Using the code is completely optional, but it may offer easier booking or discounted rates depending on availability. To book online, simply select your desired dates and enter the room block code in the “Promo Code” or “Group Code” field. If you prefer, you can also call the hotel directly at (858) 459-2621 and let them know you would like to book under our room block.
