The altitude in Vail is around 8,022 feet at the base of the mountain. If you are traveling from sea level, you may experience mild altitude sickness. This can include a headache, dizziness, nausea, and fatigue. Don't let altitude sickness get you down! The number one way to prevent this is to HYDRATE. Please drink plenty of water before and during your stay with us. Also monitor your alcohol intake, a drink will go a lot further at 8,000 feet than it will at sea level! The weather in Vail in late August is beautiful but can be very unpredictable so please make sure to check the forecast prior to traveling and pack layers! For any other specific questions, pease reach out to us and we will be happy to help you out!
