Question

How do I get from Rio de Janeiro to Búzios?

Answer

For our international guests, we are providing shuttle services on Thursday, 05/19 and Friday, 05/20 from the city of Rio to Búzios. When submitting your RSVP, please note which day you are arriving in Rio, and which day you prefer to go to Búzios, and we will ensure you have a spot in a shuttle and let you know the pick up location.

Question

Where should I stay in Rio de Janeiro?

Answer

We highly suggest exploring the city before joining in on the wedding weekend festivities in Búzios, and staying in a hotel in the South Zone - which includes the famous Copacabana and Ipanema, and other neighborhoods such as Leblon, Urca, Botafogo, Jardim Botânico and Lagoa. There are also beautiful beaches and nice hotels West Zone, but these neighborhoods are further away from the attractions, bars and restaurants in the South Zone. If you want to talk to us before booking a hotel stay or activities, please do!

Question

What are your safety tips for tourists?

Answer

We advise you to not walk around after dark, and instead Uber or download the taxi-hailing app 99Taxi (rather than waiving a cab down on the street) to a specific destinations. Do not wear expensive jewelry, including engagement/wedding rings, when you will be out all day (especially at night), and keep all bags and pockets zipped or buttoned in public at all times. Leave passports and other valuables in hotel safes rather than carrying them with you. While you're at the beach, do not leave your belongings unattended at any time.
