This is where Mark got onion rings to surprise Maddy with their engagement... but seriously, incredible southern comfort food. Mark gets the Chicken Fried Steak, Maddy gets the Chicken and Dumplings (when it's on the menu) or Chicken Aguacate (and a large onion rings). Make a reservation - there's usually a line! In Tomball, not The Woodlands.
The Waterway runs through the center of The Woodlands - it's beautiful and has great restaurants and bars. Depending on how much time you'd like to walk, you have some options. You can park at Riva Row Boat House and walk the whole waterway for fun. You can almost always snag a close spot off of Waterway Ct, Timberloch Pl (yes, the street is free and open for anyone). You can use the 5$ Waterway Ave if busy. Nearby is The Woodlands Mall and Market Street, another large outdoor shopping center (a great place to walk and talk!)
Frequently mentioned in Texas Monthly, it's hands down Maddy's family's favorite BBQ. They make their own chocolate! Not in The Woodlands, in Tomball nearby. This is a great place to walk around and shop, too. Try the Carrot Souffle! Dr. Pepper loves hanging out on their porch.
Some of the best barbeque in The Woodlands!
There are a ton of great spots for Tex Mex - this one is close to 45 and can host a crowd - recommended for those who want to eat as a group!
Tried and true breakfast spot!
The Woodlands has a tremendous amount of parks. Here's a great one to walk (don't worry - no elevation).
Great Brunch! Casual Italian off Lake Woodlands.
