A vibrant pedestrian trail filled with outdoor bars, patio seating, and architecture tours. It’s the ultimate place to grab a cocktail or an iced coffee and watch the boats go by.

Navy Pier

A classic Chicago landmark stretching out over Lake Michigan. If you want to ride the iconic Centennial Ferris Wheel for incredible panoramic views of the skyline and the lake, it’s definitely worth a stroll down the pier. The iconic "Mac" race kicks off right out of the harbor this weekend. You will see hundreds of sailboats lining up along the lakefront and the Chicago River.

Al's #1 Italian Beef

If you want to taste a true piece of Chicago history, Al’s is the undisputed king of the Italian beef sandwich (they literally invented it back in 1938). The River North location is a classic, no-frills, old-school counter spot that does it perfectly.

A delicious breakfast spot! It’s wildly popular, so there will likely be a weekend wait, but the food is excellent and the line moves fast.
