Wedding Party

Kate Shupper

Matron of Honor

Big sister, best friend, mother and the ultimate enforcer, Kate has been there for me since day one. From changing my diapers to helping me learn how to turn left, Kate has been more than just my big sister, she has been my best friend and biggest support system through all stages of life. She puts up with my constant phone calls, and dramatics which is truly the mark of a saint. I would be lost without her and I am beyond thankful she has agreed to walk me through our wedding!

Ryan Hohl

Best Man

“Who dang dang!” met with a “Yahtzee!” is how you know Ryan and I have arrived. One of my oldest friends, Ryan has been like a brother to me for over 20 years as we have navigated life’s various stages together. We attended k-12, graduated college, and stumbled through adulthood together, although our lives have taken different paths Ryan and I stay in touch constantly. In between market speculation we often talk about life and soundboard our challenges with one another. Ryan’s no bullshit honesty has always been appreciated and has helped me through the years. When thinking of who my best man would be there was no question who I wanted by my side as Madeleine and I enter the next chapter of our life.

Taylor Whitlow

Bridesmaid

Taylor and I met when we were 5 years old in a dance class and were instantly inseparable. We grew up dancing, singing and performing together and were always by each others side. We went to college together and have been able to be a part of each other’s lives since graduation thanks to Taylor’s big girl job that brings her to me twice a year! I was honored to be apart of her wedding day and am so happy she can be by my side on mine.

Joey Reagan

Groomsman

Known formally as “Joy”, Joey and I first met freshman year but did not become good friends until Junior year when all our friends left us for studies abroad. You could say our friendship was created by necessity but has remained strong as we have navigated some of life’s toughest moments together.

Laney Thompson

Bridesmaid

Laney and I met in 6th grade PE class. Laney was my first friend after transferring schools while growing out a traumatizing boy haircut. I couldn't have made it through those torturous middle school and high school years if it hadn't been for Laney. She stole the hearts of everyone in my family with her sass, intense milk consumption and months on end sleep overs. She grew to be a sister to me and I’m super excited to see you flail on the dance floor at my wedding!

Dan Bear

Groomsman

Don’t let Dan fool you, he is a sharpshooter with a bb gun, even after a few shots of tequila. Dan and I have known each other since Western Middle school and have remained good friends ever since. In high school we carpooled every morning and then again in the afternoon to work at Pet Pantry Warehouse. Working at a boutique pet store was no walk in the park but we managed to keep in light, which often ended up with one of the animals on the loose terrorizing the Suburban housewives. Dan remains a very close friend who I can always rely on.

Carsen Archer

Bridesmaid

Carsen and I met back in middle school at Laney's 13th birthday party. She gave Laney the new Usher CD, and we were all instantly mesmorized. She was the coolest girl at the party, and still to this day that rings true! She is a ball of energy, love, fun and always keeps me up way past a reasonable hour. Carsen has been one of my biggest cheerleaders through all phases, career paths, and hobbies in my life. I couldn't walk down the aisle without her cheering me on!

Chris Martin

Groomsman

Chris and I have been friends since elementary school when he invited himself to my birthday party. He as since been invited to all birthdays and continues to be one of my best and oldest friends. For the record I did not push him he is too short and was denied by the rim.

Jordan Rowlan

Bridesmaid

Jordan and I met back in middle school, we had a shared love for blaring sad sappy music and I was instantly attracted to her sailor style. After high school, we decided that we wanted to be roomies in college. We lived together at OSU all four years, interned in California one summer, got into many shenangians, and went through many of life's biggest hurdles together. Jordan's sense of humor, and loyalty are traits that I'd like to think rubbed off on me over the years, but the biggest prize of all, is how she trained a young naughty Cooper, to be such a good boy.

Zack Fado

Groomsman

In elementary school I knew Zack’s dad better then I did Zack. Becoming friends in middle school we remained good friends through high school and into college. Since moving back to Connecticut, Zack has become a cornerstone in our lives. He has joined our 5 am morning routine, is a staple on our weekend beach trips, and is never one to shy away from another fishers Island lemonade.

Dara Affholter

Bridesmaid

Dara is loyal, selfless, loves all things spooky and if you feed her after midnight, she becomes a gremlin! Or maybe it's if you don't feed her she turns into one? I'll let you find out! Dara and I studied costume design at Oklahoma State together and instantly became friends when Dara arrived on campus my sophmore year. We also went on to work alongside each other at The Juilliard School when we both moved to NYC to pursue our dreams. She has always been there for me through all of life's hardships and triumphs! Her and her "Aunt" Davey have a special bond built off of thier love of Krampus and icing eachother.

Billy Cruse

Groomsman

Billy is by far my loudest friend, in fact if you listen closely you can probably hear him yelling now. Billy and I first met in the Champlain College Finance club but did not become good friends until he was an intern at National Life Group. We proceeded to ritualized dollar PBR nights at Ake’s place and have since formed a friendship only cheap light beer can create.

Madison Knox

Bridesmaid

Madison and I met through a mutual friend, when both of us were looking to move to NYC at the same time. We made some plans over the phone, she picked me up in Tulsa, and we drove across the country together in a Uhaul. We fell in love over those 24 hours of driving and decided we were committed for life. I spent all of my NYC years as her roommate/playmate. We stayed out too late, ate far too much Darrell Lee liquoirce, and spent a little too much money at TuTu's. Lucikly, she has stuck around for my now "grown up years" with the same exuberance of love as those frisky NYC adventures.

Nick Foss

Groomsman

Nick thinks I am an ogre, I just think he’s short. This Shrek and Donkey tail started when we were paired as roommates on our college trip to China. We fast became friends while exploring the lawless city of Beijing. Amazed at my ability to eat anything put in front of me, to this day Nick continues to test where I will draw a line.

Aidan Griffiths

Bridesmaid

Our love affair began one fateful summer working at Camp GlimGlam. We became inseperable, and were referred to as "Maidan" by other campgoers. We ate off the same plate, watched a lot of Orange is the New Black, and enjoyed viewing the peaceful woodchucks from our PT cruiser each day. Most of all, Aidan was my ride or die during a time that I needed one the most. Luckily for me, it wasn't just a summer fling. She moved to NYC at the end of that summer, and our friendship continues. Don't let her dainty exterior fool you, she's fiesty, resilient and will fight you if you try to move her while she's sleeping.

Zack Krigman

Groomsman

What I brought back from my trip to China in college proved to be fruitful and not just in counterfeit dress shirts. My friendship with Zack also arose from the slums of Beijing and continued to strengthen state side. After meeting an Ex-pat in the Beijing airport and helping her utilize her IBM expense account, Zack proved his selflessness by providing me his neck pillow to sleep it off on the 13-hour flight home. To Madeleine’s despair Zack and I continue to exchange car articles and listing daily, we’ll see who pulls the trigger first…

Erin Jacobs

Bridesmaid

Erin and I became friends one thirsty Thursday at the Crab Shell in Stamford, CT. She was my first friend after moving to Connecticut and helped me get acclimated and feel at home in an unknown land. She's a potatoe head by nature, and is "YELLOW" by nuture, in our weekly croquet games. Her love of football (Bill's fan) and "come as you are atttitude" have kept us close over the years, as we both try to "adult" through this new season in life. Go Pats! xoxo

Joel Wolter

Groomsman

Joel and I met in College although the first year he was more myth than reality, all I knew is he drove a Honda Prelude and was Canadian. It was not long after that I realized there was much more to Joel as we became great friends. Joel is always full of surprises, whether we are skiing off a roof, or sending me anonymous patriots memorabilia, his thoughtfulness and unique personality are always at the forefront of our friendship.

Charlotte Shupper

Junior Bridesmaid

This little angel is the nugget that made me an Aunt! Since day one, Charlotte stole my heart with her sweet empathetic nature and big blue eyes. Every break I could get from school, I would spend with her and her parents in Dallas. Her flair for the dramatics and sensitive heart have often made people question whether or not she's actually my little baby! I just chalk it up to all that time I spent with her during her developmental years. ;) She's the best big sister to Addie and has a sweet tooth that is truly impressive.

Chris Smalls

Groomsman

Chris was one of the first people I met at UVM, fast becoming great friends as we shared the same affinity to having a good time… all the time. The next year we were roommates and continued to wreak havoc on Burlington every St Patrick’s day. Chris an I remain close since leaving Vermont and meet up in the city when there isn’t a pandemic.

John Shupper

Officiant

John is the extra big brother I never wanted, but grew to love. He's been a role model, critic and support system for me since I was 11 years old. Whether it's teaching me how to drive, or farting on my pillows, John is always there to lend a hand and keep me on my toes. He maybe getting grumpier/grayer with his old age, but he's always the life of the party. There is no one else Davd and I would have bring us into our next chapter as hubsand and wife.

Addie Shupper

Flower Girl

Addie is the youngest of the Shupper family, but don't let her size fool you. She is a firecracker that will always take you by surprise and can really make you question yourself, especially when she is just "thinking" at Disney World. She may be a wild card, but she keeps us all laughing. We are so excited to have her be a part of our special day!

Cooper

Ring Bearer

Cooper is my 11 year old golden retriever, and ineveitably the belle of the ball. This little poochy has been a constant source of home and comfort for me over the years. He may be getting whiter in the face as each day passes, but he is still the naughty little puppy I brought home that rainy day eleven years ago. When David came into the picture both were a little skeptical of eachother, but that quickly changed and now Cooper's loyalty has shifted completely to David. Which is heartbreaking and yet, understandable. The three of us are inseparable and we couldn't imagine our big day without this guy by our sides!
