One night after sketching away at Spring Street Studios, Madeleine got invited to grab drinks with an old roommate and her friend from college who was in town. David was that old friend from college, and had just moved back to Connecticut from Vermont. There were many drinks and a fuzzy goodbye that night. The next day Madeleine grabbed David's number and asked him for a drink the next time he was in the city. David happened to be in the city that day, they grabbed drinks and played an embarrassing game of trivia, and the rest is history!

Four years from the day they met, David got down on one knee and asked Madeleine to be his wife. They were visiting one of their favorite spots in VT, the Muddy Moose Inn. David and Madeleine were snow shoeing and David suddenly stopped to get something out of his back pack towards the end of their hike. Madeleine, thinking David needed his "puff puff", joked around about his asthma and needing his inhaler. David actually was grabbing the ring box to propose, luckily he continued to pop the question despite her taunting. Madeleine said YES and almost dropped the ring in the snow from shaking with happiness (and possible the negative 15 degree weather). They quickly returned to their cabin to tell Cooper, family, and friends the good news! They went to Trapp Brewery that evening to celebrate! Prost!

Our wedding is happening as planned, and we look forward to celebrating with you all on July 31, 2021! Vermont state has put in place a reopening plan that will allow for us to safely host all wedding events for our weekend in Stowe.
