What should I wear?

Answer

We’d love for our family and friends to dress to impress in formal or cocktail attire. Ladies may wear floor-length or tea-length dresses, and gentlemen should wear a suit and tie. Summer colors are encouraged—feel free to use our wedding color palette above for inspiration! To help our bride stand out, we kindly ask that guests avoid cream, ivory, or white. Tip for the ladies: The ceremony will be held on the lawn (weather permitting), so please consider your shoes accordingly.

While we love your little ones, we’ve chosen to keep our celebration adults-only. We hope you’re able to enjoy a fun night out with us!

Are the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes! Both will take place at Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate 421 Wadsworth Street, Middletown, CT 06457

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes! A shuttle will be available to and from the venue for any guests who would like to use it. Pickup and drop-off will take place at the Inn at Middletown—please see the Travel page for full details.

Will there be a welcome party?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be hosting a welcome party the evening before the wedding at Gouveia Vineyards from 6:30–9:00 PM. We’d love for you to join us if you’re in town! Please see the Schedule page for additional details.

Is there an after party?

For those who aren’t ready to call it a night, we’ll be heading to the Tavern at the Armory at the Inn at Middletown after the reception. Feel free to join us for a nightcap!

What's the history of the mansion?

We're in our Wadsworth Era! The Wadsworth Mansion is a historic estate built in the early 1900s and once served as a private summer home. Today, it’s a beautifully preserved venue known for its timeless architecture and picturesque grounds. It's a place full of charm and history—and we couldn’t imagine a more perfect setting to celebrate with you.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Guests may begin arriving at 4:00 PM, with the ceremony beginning promptly at 4:30 PM. Please arrive no later than 4:15 PM to allow time for seating.
