The easiest way from NYC to Kingston is to rent a car and drive. It is approximately 2 hours by car from NYC to Kingston. You can easily rent a car from the airport you fly into - JFK and Newark are both convenient options. Use discount code D487000 for discounted rates at Avis! Alternatively, there are direct trains running from New York Penn Station to Rhinebeck. The trains run multiple times a day and take a little over 1 hour and 30 minutes to get you to Rhinebeck. This is a good option if you decide to stay in Rhinebeck. The train gets you to Rhinecliff, only a short taxi ride from Rhinebeck.
