Maddy and Justin met during their first week of adult life, in the most romantic setting imaginable: a corporate conference room at PwC. Justin’s first impression of Maddy was, wow, she looks over training… get me out of here. Maddy’s first impression of Justin, on the other hand, was that he was really nice - a much better starting point. Over one of their first lunches at a taco shop near the office, Justin asked thoughtful questions (as described by Maddy), and the two quickly bonded over their shared love of soccer. From there, Maddy and Justin found every excuse they could to spend a little more time together. Nights out in Campbell, Downtown San Jose, Los Gatos, Santana Row… you get the picture, turned a fast friendship into something impossible to ignore. Before long, they were dating and essentially living together just six months later when COVID hit. For the next two years Justin and Maddy spent their time playing corn hole in the backyard (where Maddy proudly celebrated her two victories), competing against their roommates at various beer Olympics, and traveling whenever possible. Their shared love for adventure and spontaneity next took them to San Francisco for 2.5 years where they grew their appreciation for finding the next best restaurants, indie pop bands, and adult intramural sports teams. Apparently, San Francisco wasn’t big or expensive enough, so they decided to take things international and move to London! Six months later Justin proposed on the shores of Lake Geneva with both Maddy’s and Justin’s parents joining to celebrate. Although Justin claims that various hints were dropped, it was still a big surprise for Maddy. A love story that started with accounting, survived COVID, crossed oceans, and led us here - we’re so excited to celebrate with you!
