Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Please RSVP to learn where you have been invited to stay! Regrettably, Achnagairn cannot host all of our guests, so if you are to stay in Inverness, we have gathered a wonderful list of hotels that you can find under the Travels page. Any questions regarding where you should or are invited to stay, please reach out to us at frasers2023@gmail.com!!

Question

When Should I Fly Over?

Answer

We recommend arriving Thursday, July 21st to get ready for the festivities.

Question

What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

For Friday night, we recommend jeans, knits and shoes that keep up in grass. There will be Highland Games for those who wish to participate! For the wedding, the attire will be formal or black tie optional. Floor-length dresses for the ladies, suits or tuxes for the gentlemen. We will still recommend block heels for the ladies for the summer lawn.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Always expect the rain! July in Scotland will be beautiful, with warm days at 72*, and cool evenings around 60*. Pack layers, jackets, and outfits for exploring. Many of the attractions have stairs and hills, and you don't want to end up like Jamie, clinging to the side of a mountain in golf shoes.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Due to guest number restrictions, we are only able to extend an invitation to the children of close family/or our wedding party. Only guests named on invitations will be invited, we hope you understand!

Question

Where do I golf?

Answer

For all golf-related questions, tee times, and recommendations, Jamie Fraser is your lad. Text or email us for all the needed information! We will get you tee'd up and ready to go.

Question

Can I wear a kilt?

Answer

Absolutely! A full kilt outfit is considered formal, which is the attire for Saturday night. If you need assistance in sourcing a kilt, please reach out to Jamie Fraser.
