Our Story

The Wedding Website of Madison Siebold and Gregory Judge
Greg was living in Charlotte, North Carolina since 2014. Maddy moved down from NJ in 2021 to escape Covid and they met through mutual Dickinson College friends. Maddy was the bubbly and funny new girl in the group while Greg had a golden retriever puppy. Needless to say, early sparks emerged because Greg was infatuated with Maddy's laugh and personality, and Maddy just wanted to spend more time with the cute puppy, Bode. After a few short months, they found love in a hopeless place...Coca-Cola 600. Among the fast cars, fast feelings emerged. With growing desperation to spend more time with the girl in the Dale Earnhardt Jr. top, Greg finally mustered up the courage to ask Maddy not on a date but rather to 3 upcoming weddings, which he did not have a plus one to. Unknowingly at the time, Maddy said yes while admiring the slightly too-tight jorts Greg was sporting.

First Date

July 2021

Fast forward to their first date where Maddy was on her way with Greg as a plus one to a wedding in Annapolis, Maryland (against Alison's better judgment). A car ride that should have been 7 hours from Charlotte to Maryland, turned into 10 hours due to Greg's inability to follow directions. With that extra time, their connection grew deeper. Maddy managed to suppress her NJ road rage and they quickly fell in love with each other's sense of adventure and shared values. They even drafted the perfect wedding song playlist, which you will hear on the big day!

Charleston

April 2022

While Greg met Maddy's parents in October of 2021, he appeared to have passed the initial tests since he was still around the following year. With Easter and Mark's 65th birthday coming up, it was decided to celebrate in Charleston where none of the Siebolds had been before. Greg spent his first full weekend with Maddy and her parents where he was further questioned by Alison and accepted for his love of golf by Mark. That same weekend Maddy was introduced to some of Greg's extended family (the Werner's) who also connected and quickly fell in love as expected. It was Charleston where important memories were made and would be the city they continue to return to as their relationship grew stronger.

First Home

May 2023

Greg and Maddy had passed their first trial of living together in a 600 square foot studio apartment with no doors, 1 bathroom, and a 60 lb golden retriever. Maddy exercised astounding patience but soon it was time to find a new space that they could share. They moved into a house in Elizabeth where they enjoyed a quiet neighborhood and began envisioning a life together. During this year, Maddy spent time getting to know Greg's family, traveling for a week in Iceland with Wes and Janet, and celebrating 8 weddings together across the country meeting all of their close friends and extended family.

Engaged!

March 2024

To no surprise, all roads lead back to Charleston! Winter months on the beach with Bode was an annual tradition for Greg and Maddy, and this year was planned for Folly Beach. However, after securing a blessing from Mark the prior Christmas, Greg had another surprise in mind. In Folly they spent 5 days watching every sunrise and sunset together and on the final evening, with cocktails on the beach together, Greg proposed and Maddy accepted. Maddy was later surprised by Mark, Alison, Wes, Janet, and Erin waiting for them back at their Airbnb. Since then, they have continued their journey across multiple continents and looking forward to celebrating their love with all of you on November 15th.
