Old Sacramento

Old Sacramento

Old Sacramento, Sacramento, CA 95815

Old Sac is a classic tourist attraction that holds a lot of interest for locals, too! From Evangeline's costume shop to the crab shack on the water, this historic setting will bring you lots to explore in a small footprint. Great for strolling around and window shopping!

California State Capitol Museum

California State Capitol Museum

1315 10th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814

Though it doubles as Spencer's day-to-day workspace, the State Capitol building is home to an incredible museum that displays original government history! You can walk through the colonial halls and make your way onto the upper deck of the senate and assembly floors to observe real-time legislation in the works.

Crocker Art Museum

Crocker Art Museum

216 O Street, Sacramento, CA 95814

Founded over 100 years ago, this local gem is known as one of the oldest art museums west of the Mississippi! It holds all kinds of California art that will keep you engaged for hours on end!

Railroad Museum

Railroad Museum

125 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95814

For our true history nerds, we highly recommend visiting the Railroad Museum. It has a great collection of out-of-service pieces that tell a great story about our local past.

Sac Brew Bike

Sac Brew Bike

1519 19th Street, Sacramento, CA 95811

We absolutely LOVE a good brew bike! The drivers are a hoot when it comes to entertainment (and safety), the bars' discounts are helpful, and the ride through town is worth the workout! Don't worry, it's more for fun than it is for exercise.

American River Trail

American River Trail

This trail is great for riding bikes, but also for walking/jogging! We have spent a lot of time on it in the East Sacramento area, but the trail spans all the way from Old Sacramento to Folsom. The nature walk follows the river and provides a great reprieve from the city's hustle and bustle on whatever stretch of it you take. If you want recommendations, feel free to reach out to us! We also highly recommend the trails in Folsom as well as Placerville/Auburn.

Westfield Galleria Mall

Westfield Galleria Mall

1151 Galleria Blvd, Roseville, CA 95678

For quality retail shopping, take the 15 minute drive up Highway 80 from Sacramento to Roseville! The Galleria Mall has all the big name brand stores like Pottery Barn, Nordstrom, and Apple amongst their multiple-story structure.

Delta Shores

Delta Shores

8270 Delta Shores Circle, South Sacramento, CA 95832

For those of you staying closer to Elk Grove, the Delta Shores mall provides a great shopping experience! The brand new grounds house all-day entertainment like Regal Cinemas, RC Willey, food joints and more.

Old Sugar Mill

Old Sugar Mill

35265 Willow Ave, Clarksburg, CA 95612

We took our engagement photos here, and have wine tasted from their many selections in visits past! We highly recommend spending an afternoon walking the beautiful grounds and enjoying samplings of different winery offerings.
