T'was the summer of 2019. Two kindred spirits made their separate journeys to Nashville, TN to try their next phase of life in the world renown "Music City". Tommy came from Austin, TX where he was pursuing a career in the music business. Maddie came from Savannah, GA where she earned her Master's in Speech-Language Pathology. Both Maddie and Tommy took a leap, and moved to a new city where they didn't know many people, trying to figure out their lives after college. On the evening of September 28, 2019, Maddie and Tommy ventured out separately with their friends for a concert on the east side of town. Throughout the night, Tommy kept catching glimpses of an especially attractive woman across the room. She sparkled with energy; a radiant glow. Tommy plotted his approach, considering how to court her. Suddenly, the room was filled with balloons, bouncing all around the crowd in the air. Balloons in the shape of a green alien. Tommy grabbed a balloon and took his shot, directly at this intriguing woman’s forehead, and gently bopped her with the balloon to get her attention. The first attempt failed. Tommy tried again, with a little more force… BOP! Right on the forehead. Maddie shouted: “Excuse me mister!”. Tommy replied sarcastically: “Oh I’m sorry Miss. I didn’t see you there.” (With a quick wink). The two continued to dance closer and closer as the energy of the room brought them nearer. As the show ended, Maddie joined Tommy and his friends for a post-show cocktail nearby where they shared conversation, and got to know each other into the night. A few days later, Tommy went over to Maddie’s house to make a home cooked meal with his expert culinary skills. Naturally, Maddie’s interest in this newfound man was swayed by the delicious meal he made. Over time, the two continued to see each other and grow their relationship together. Now almost 4 years later, they have grown into truer versions of themselves in Nashville. They have renewed their faith in God, and share their love of family, friends, food, and music. They cannot wait to start forever, and share the wedding celebration with the most important people they cherish.
