Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 31st!

Question

What food is provided onsite?

Answer

Dinner is provided Friday evening (please RSVP). Food will be stocked in the guest houses for breakfast and lunch on Saturday (no RSVP required, available for all guests). Dinner is also provided Saturday evening after the ceremony.

Question

Can I stay at the ranch, or do I need to book a hotel?

Answer

There are limited beds onsite, so we will reach out to you directly if there is space available. Otherwise, please book a hotel, or if you want to stay onsite in a tent or camper van, there is unlimited space.

Question

What clothing should I pack?

Answer

If you are new to California, be ready for hot days and cold nights. The current forecast for September 21st is a high of 84deg and low of 49deg. Wear garden attire for the ceremony: sundresses, floral prints, suits in lighter hues, and fun hats and fascinators. The attire is casual for all other events/activities. Bring hiking shoes if you plan to go to Pinnacles National Park (next to the ranch). Tennis shoes or boots are recommended for walking around the ranch property and required for shooting/horseback riding. Pants are also required for horseback riding.

Question

What amenities are provided onsite?

Answer

If you are staying in one of the houses: linens, towels, standard kitchen supplies, fresh drinking water, blow dryer, iron and ironing board, liquid body soap, hand and dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, coffee beans/grinder, coffee maker, tea, salt/pepper, cooking oil, s'more sticks, seating around the fire pits, and other basics. If your house stock is running low on any of these items please let our onsite staff know. If you are staying in Cowboy Village: linens, a bath towel, one potty, two showers, s'more sticks, seating around the fire pit, and a nightly campfire.

Question

Where do I pick up additional food/amenities not provided onsite?

Answer

There is a Costco in Gilroy, San Luis Obispo, and Bakersfield, or you can find a standard grocery store closer to the ranch in Hollister, King City, and Coalinga.

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

Whether you are staying onsite or in a nearby hotel, the ranch is available from 4pm Thursday to 11am Sunday. Activities are happening on Friday and Saturday, with the official ceremony happening at 5pm on Saturday.

Question

Do activities cost money?

Answer

The only activities that cost money are skeet shooting and horseback riding ($50 each). Please RSVP for these activites so we can schedule them with the ranch. All other activities are free!

Question

How do I pay for skeet shooting and horseback riding?

Answer

Payments can be made directly to the ranch. Details on this process will be sent out in the weeks before the wedding. We need to get a final count via RSVP to schedule the activities, then we will coordinate the payments.

Question

Can I bring my own gun for skeet shooting?

Answer

Yes, please let Stefan know if you plan to bring your own gun. Personal guns and ammo MUST be checked into a secure location upon arrival.

Question

Where can I find more information about the ranch?

Answer

https://www.barszranch.com
