How We Met

Maddie's first (and only) Stanford football game...

Her second day at Stanford, Maddie's roommate interrupted a small identity crisis (what sane person moves half way across the United States leaving family, friends, and a nice, secure job to go back to being a broke student?) to convince Maddie to attend the first Stanford football game of the season. They ended up behind a group of particularly tall mechanical engineering graduate students. Since Maddie’s roommate was so short, with the crowd standing and cheering she couldn't see anything on the field. Stefan noticed, and offered to switch places so she could have a better view. Since Maddie was new to campus, Stefan gave her his phone number and offered to help her navigate campus. Two days later, Maddie had to sheepishly call Stefan because he was the only person she knew within 2,000 miles who could lift more than 50 pounds.

Adventure Weekend

Why pick a ranch?

When Maddie and Stefan tried to picture the perfect wedding, the traditional ceremony and formal reception didn't feel right. What they really wanted was to spend quality time with family and friends and to have as many games and activities as possible. Thus was born the idea of an adventure wedding. Bar SZ Ranch is south of the Bay Area next to Pinnacles National Park. Activities include (but are not limited to) dancing, horseback riding, skeet shooting, archery, chinchilla petting, foosball, ping pong, billiards, basketball, tetherball, lawn games, and just about anything else you want to try!

Stay Tuned!
