Sean and I met through a mutual friend, his Best Man, during the 2015 Super Bowl weekend. I traveled to Colorado for a visit because our mutual friend told me how amazing Colorado was and it was time for me to discover it for myself. After my visit, Sean and I started to talk a lot and became close friends. After my second visit, I decided I wanted to move to Colorado and needed a roommate, Sean volunteered. After moving into our second home together we decided to make it official on September 1, 2016.
Looking for a COVID friendly activity, Sean and I decided to go to the Christkindl Market in Denver. We walked around the market, enjoyed drinking Gluhwein and eating delicious food, while we looked at the amazing artwork. After we explored the entire festival, Sean asked if we could take a picture in front of the "I love Denver" sign. At first, I didn't want to, but then decided it would make a nice photo. We asked a gentleman to take our picture. We walked up to stand closer to the sign and as I tried to put my arm around Sean he knelt down on one knee and popped the question. I was completely surprised and even asked him "Are you kidding me? Is this real?" Then I said yes!
We realize that for more than a year, COVID has taken a toll on all of us. We also know you may not feel comfortable or able to travel to join us in Estes Park due to this pandemic. That is perfectly fine and we completely understand! The ceremony will available via livestream so you can attend from the comfort of your home. The link will be provided at a later time on the website.
