In the late summer of 2020, Maddie sent Ross the simplest of texts, “Let's go on a vacation." Before he could reply, she followed up with "Portland, Maine: Lobster-lover’s paradise and thriving beer scene. Sold.” Minutes later the two had flights booked. The very next month, they were off to the Northeast coast for one of the best vacations a couple could ask for. From picturesque scenery around every corner to incredible food and drinks, the two were spoiled with a perfect weekend. On an early morning during the middle of their trip, they got up to go capture one of the first sunrises on the East coast. It was cold. It was early. Along the rocks and next to the ocean water of Maine, they slow danced to their favorite song, Ross reached into his pocket and spun his beautiful girl around. As she twirled back, she looked down at her biggest fan on one knee. "Maddison Claire, will you marry me?"
