Travel partner to places we should not have attempted going to (exhibit A: our trip to Brazil to see a spirtual healer and medium in 2018). Maddie's main confidant -- Meredith Gray to her Cristina Yang; Thelma to her Louise. Has been mistaken as Maddie's life partner, nurse, and mom because she is so caring and involved in her life.

Kevin’s friend since meeting all the way back in first grade at Groveland Elementary School. Share many core memories from growing up together (see Cub Scout camps, battling a blizzard in Duluth, biking in Lanesboro, and pheasant hunting in Madison, MN). Multi-sport athlete, but just as terrible at trapshooting as Kevin. Motorcycle and car enthusiast. Has lived in nearly every Midwest state. The best at organizing a good time and always pumped to see you.

Maddie's best friend since 1994. Grew up on the same cul-de-sac. Survived Catholic elementary and middle school and the abrupt change to public high school together. Tennis teammate. College roommate. Dancer and excellent chef who doesn't like leftovers (roommate win). Chaser's bartender in college who always had the hook up. Adventure partner who is always ready for a good time (see trips to Phantom Lake summer camp, Cape Cod, and our spontaneous trip to Greece in 2014). The cool NYC friend who somehow still has all the hook ups.
Chad Grossmann

Kevin’s friend since meeting in Mr. E’s third grade class. Occasionally mistaken for brothers. A majority of Kevin’s childhood was spent at the Grossmann household – it’s a miracle nobody broke an arm snowboarding on Chad’s homemade terrain park. Hosts a terrific dinner party with food fresh from his garden. Nordic skier and 25.9 mile marathon runner. Inspiration for many of Kevin’s current hobbies. Gives great restaurant recs and life advice.

Maddie's younger sister. Met at the Minneapolis airport in 1999. Known for giving great advice about makeup and hair. Great resource for stealing clothes. Former YouTube makeup haul star. Used to keep an emergency stash of Oreos hidden in her dresser drawer. Married to her high school sweetheart. Person Maddie turns to first for hilarious takes and gossip.

Kevin’s friend since meeting in middle school and bonding as partners on a Genghis Khan school project. Also known as Ders. Favorite baseball position is catcher, despite being over 6 feet tall. Expert drummer (Rockband and IRL). Software wizard that will debug your code if the price is right. Gather annually near his birthday to celebrate the Derztona 500: The Great American Case Race. The friend that will carry you home (literally).

Brings the loudest laughter and joy to every situation. Photography and montage queen. Fish Creek host. West Coast bestie who lives up the road in LA.

Kevin’s friend since freshman year at UW-Madison. Kronshage Dorm – Mack House roommates (Kevin was top bunk). Made sure Kevin didn’t do anything too stupid. Badger Men’s Basketball Student Manager and eternal optimist it’s the team’s year to win a national championship. Backpacked across Europe together for a month after graduating. Great golfer and better instructor (somehow managed to fix Kevin’s slice). Grew up in Alabama – Roll Tide.

Maddie's cousin. Often paraded in same outfits growing up. Childhood and teenage mischief partner in crime. She was there for Maddie's first time talking, first time walking, first kiss, first time drinking wine (21 years old obviously), and will now stand by Maddie's side as she marries her first husband (JK, he's the only one).

Maddie's older brother. Had a club with Maddie when they were younger called the "Baby Boomers" - they thought they came up with that term. The club was very exclusive and on club days they weren't allowed to play with anyone else. Shared first cell phone, first snowboard, and first car with Maddie. Electric Forest enthusiast. Likes to do spontaneous things like getting engaged and married in the same weekend on a disc golf course.

Kevin’s oldest sister. Subjected Kevin to dress-up and makeup practice. Always the first sibling to read the new Harry Potter books. Fluent in Chinese. Beer and coffee aficionado. Successful entrepreneur and badass business woman. Still not quite sure how to pronounce deadmau5. Always up for an outdoor adventure. The best role model, big sister, and mom to flower girl Amelie and flower boy Levi.

Maddie's favorite person to play video games with. Fan of the most random sports teams (i.e. The Saints?). Married to his college sweetheart. Father of cutest baby and flower girl, Charlotte.

Kevin’s older sister. Also subjected Kevin to dress-up and makeup practice. Very talented figure skater (Kevin wished she played hockey growing up instead) and Nordic skier. Shared a Nissan Sentra with Kevin. If you make her laugh hard enough, you might see her “unce” vein appear on her forehead. The best dentist around (fixed Madddie’s chipped teeth on multiple occasions). Kevin officiated her Scituate wedding in 2022. The best role model, big sister, and mom to youngest flower boy Hank.

Cutest ring bearer you’ve ever seen. Loves a recently worn sock, hunting for gophers in the park, and swimming at the beach. Favorite treat is a minty. Gives excellent cuddles. Howls at sirens. Has a humping problem.

Doesn’t shy away from reading a 1000+ page novel (and tries to pick them for book club). Frequently found in the Rockies. Greatest dog dad of all time.

Kevin’s friend since freshman year at UW-Madison. Incredible vinyl collection and music recommendations. Many memories at the Kohl Center as members of the Grateful Red (+2015 Final Four). Despite claiming Wisconsin superiority over Minnesota (sports, # of lakes, etc.), has a heart of gold. Greece tour guide, tiropita chef, and #1 Giannis fan.

Kevin’s friend since freshman year at UW-Madison. The biggest Badger fan (made it to football games before kickoff). Rom-com expert. Liar’s dice enthusiast. Lives up the road in Los Angeles and helped Kevin and Maddie feel at home on the West Coast. Meets up with them for concerts across Southern California and to crush them in Catan.

Currently lives across the pond in Bristol (met up with Kevin and Maddie on their London trip in 2022). Likes to toss weights around. Always up for an adventure and is probably hiking, mountain biking, or skiing if he isn’t already traveling.
